Come on Google - fix the gmail error with IE7 already!!

Seriously Google, this error is getting a bit old - and its annoying me no end.....

Logging into gmail using IE 7, users are presented with an error message:

"Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site http://mail.gmail.com/mail/. Operation aborted."


OK - we know that it is a known problem - as defined here:

but come on..... surely this is an error worth fixing - as a lot of people are moving onto IE7
